TIMES NIE- KNOWLEDGE QUIZ in Delhi World Public School, Noida Extension on 22nd Dec 2017
Delhi World Public School, Noida Extension in collaboration with the Times NIE, organized the Knowledge Quiz competition for Classes IX- XII on 22nd December 2017. More than 20 schools of Delhi NCR participated in the event.
The competition opened on an invocational note, with the lighting of the holy diya. The proceedings began with the introduction of the quizmaster and rules of the quiz competition. The preliminary round was based on written questions and only 6 teams were selected to go for the oral round. The oral quiz was divided into exciting rounds including an audio visual round and a buzzer round which tested the general knowledge of not just the participants but also the audience. The questions put forth to the teams were intriguing, exciting and made the audience applaud excitedly.
Through lots of cheering and witnessing a nail biting finish between the teams, DPS Noida topped the chart of winners, with Cambridge School Noida just a rung below enjoying the second position and the third position was bagged by Bal Bharti Public School Noida. The winners were awarded with trophies and gifts by the team of Times of India and management of the school. The Principal, Ms. Jyoti Arora while proposing the vote of thanks congratulated the winners and complimented the efforts of the contestants. The event opened a portal to the current affairs and general awareness topics from around the world resulting in an enriching experience. Must compliment here the spirit exuded by each school and participant, who drove home to their audience a message ‘ Enjoy participation as winning and losing is just a part of game!
