The TERRE Green Olympiad was successfully conducted in the school during 27th August 2018 till 30th August 2018. THE TERRE POLICY CENTRE is a non-profit organization dedicated to sustainable solutions to our development imperatives. The TERRE Green Olympiad is promoted by the CBSE. This is an ONLINE EXAM with Objective type questions. It aims to aware our future generations regarding our environment and its importance. It is a Two Level exam. Those who qualify in the First Level will be eligible to appear for the Second Level. Attractive prizes like Laptops, Tablets, Scientific Calculators, and Pen Drives etc. will be awarded to the winners of Second Level.
A total of 44 Students from Class V – IX participated in the First Level exam. The parents were duly informed about the same through the Circular and the Instruction Set which was also uploaded on the school website. The students willing to participate were registered online by the Department of External Examinations on the TERRE website and Log-In IDs and Passwords were allotted to every participating student. The Exam was conducted in the Information Technology Lab of the school. There were 50 questions in the test to be answered in a maximum time limit of 30 minutes. The questions comprised of Audio-Visual and Graphics Clues. The score of the participant depended on both speed and accuracy as the exam had to be finished within minimum time scoring maximum marks to be eligible for the next round. Online Certificates of Honor were awarded by the TERRE to each participant after finishing the test.
No participation fee was charged for the Exam from any participant. An In-House Preparation Test comprising of Objective Type Questions was also conducted for all class groups from Class V –IX prior to the actual online test to help them prepare well. The students remarked that appearing for TERRE Olympiad was a very good learning experience for them as it was their first exposure to an Online Exam and that the questions were very innovative and informative in nature.
