An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.Considering the provision for a safe learning environment, Delhi World Public School, Noida Extension in association with Echo Tech- III Disaster Management Team successfully organized and competently conducted a Fire Mock Drill for grade Pre-nursery – X on 9th May 2018 to edify, illuminate and endow students and staff to be prepared for unforeseen natural calamities.Students demonstrated and developed awareness about the precautionary measures to be adopted, routes to be followed and the safe venues to assemble at during such crucial circumstances. The unassailable discharge plan efficiently accomplished and encompassed provision for safeguarding visitors and people with disabilities.The drill commenced with a fire alarm indicating students to vacate their respective classrooms within a fraction of seconds through the staircase area under scrupulous supervision of teachers and the school staff including the security guards, drivers, helpers and peons.
The assignment also inculcated an attitude of mutual co-operation and brotherhood ensembling emotional bond to support each other during the time of crises.The activity incorporated the appropriate procedure to employ effective usage of fire extinguishers installed throughout the school campus. The exercise proved conducive to organization as it equipped everyone to not
only extend substantial assistance but also be profoundly supportive.We do look forward to such drives in future too.
