Inspire Award 2018-19

A very prestigious event, the Inspire Award, Manak ( Million minds augmenting National aspiration and Knowledge) conceived by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India was hosted by Delhi World Public School on 22nd December’ 2018. This scheme has been implemented through the State and UT Government with the objective to attract young students to study Science and pursue research career and to promote creative thinking and foster a culture of innovation among them.

It was attended by 134 students from six districts of Uttar Pradesh – Hapur, Ghaziabad, GB Nagar, Bulandshahar, Baghpat and Meerut. On this occasion, the District Inspector of Schools, Dr. P.K. Upadhyaya coordinated the event in collaboration with the Principal of Delhi World Public School, Noida Extension. The members of the school management with the Chairman, Mr. Vipin Sahni and the Director, Dr Saiyam Sahni inaugurated the event and extended magnanimous support to make the event a success. The programme ended with a short cultural programme and address by the DIOS, Dr. P. K. Upadhyaya appreciating the efforts of the students who showcased their exceptional talent and creativity in the field of science by projecting innovative ideas which will transform the future of the world. The esteemed judges, Shri Suresh Chand Sharma-Regional Scientific Officer, Shri R. D. Srivastava, a well acclaimed Scientist, Shree Kuldip Singh Panwar, HOD Mechanical Engineering, Delhi Technical Campus, Shree Pratap Singh, currenty working as the Principal & Chief Proctor in Vishweshwarya Technical institute, Dadri interacted with the students judging each project with great precision.

A Prize Distribution Ceremony was organized in which the students were felicitated with certificates and mementos to motivate the students to excel further. The competitors were elated to know that sixteen candidates have been selected to participate at the State Level competition. The high level of scientific temperament itself proves that the future of the country will be in safe hands. The Principal of Delhi World Public School, Ms. Jyoti Arora expressed her heart-felt obligation towards the esteemed members of the team and affirmed that such competitions will definitely inspire students to prove their mettle in various fields.
